About

We are living in very stressful times that challenge us to find meaning. Often the very painful issues that bring people to therapy -- anxiety and/or depression, difficulty with relationships, life-cycle transitions, trauma, illness, aging, lack of purpose and belonging -- present a wonderful opportunity for exploration, growth, and development. I especially enjoy working with individuals in transition, whether in early adulthood, mid-life, or the "third chapter" of older age and have a special place in my heart for those who struggle with feelings of not fitting in, living non-traditional lives or in non-traditional relationships. The psychotherapeutic relationship is unique and intimate. When psychotherapy is at it's best the patient experiences breakthroughs, expanded capacities, and learns how to embrace the edges and curves of life more gracefully. My task is to make you feel comfortable and cherished as we undertake this process together. Personally, I'm warm, compassionate, non-judgmental and provide a safe and relaxed space for us to engage in conversation. I think of myself as a loving guide who urges you in to being your authentic self in your fullest capacity. It is my great honor to facilitate this process.
